Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original scholarly manuscripts to the Nexus International Journal of Applied Science, Medicine and Social Sciences (NIJAMSS). Submissions must fall within the journal’s aims and scope and must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format using Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5-line spacing and standard margins. The manuscript should normally include the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, recommendations, declarations and references.

The abstract should be approximately 200–300 words and should clearly present the background, purpose, methodology, main findings and conclusion. Authors should provide four to eight relevant keywords.

References and in-text citations should follow the latest APA style unless another recognised referencing style is approved for a particular discipline. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all references.

The main manuscript submitted for peer review should be anonymised. Authors’ names, institutional affiliations, email addresses and acknowledgements that may reveal their identities should be entered separately in the submission system.

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, appropriately titled and referred to in the manuscript. Authors must obtain permission to reproduce copyrighted photographs, figures, tables, questionnaires or other materials.

All studies involving human participants, animals or confidential information must comply with applicable ethical standards. Where relevant, authors should provide the name of the ethics review body, approval number and information on informed consent.

Authors must disclose funding sources, competing interests, data availability and any use of artificial intelligence tools in preparing the manuscript. AI tools must not be listed as authors.

All submissions undergo editorial screening. Suitable manuscripts are subjected to independent peer review before a final editorial decision is made. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  •  The manuscript falls within the aims and scope of NIJAMSS.
  •  The submission is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript has been anonymized for peer review.
  • The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  • The title, abstract, and four to eight keywords have been provided.
  • All authors have approved the manuscript and consented to its submission.
  •  All authors’ names, affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID identifiers, where available, have been entered correctly.
    • References and in-text citations have been checked for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Tables and figures are numbered, titled, and cited in the manuscript.
    • Permission has been obtained for all copyrighted material included in the submission.
    • Ethical approval and informed-consent information have been provided where applicable.
    • Funding sources and supporting organizations have been disclosed.
    • All competing interests have been declared.
    • A data availability statement has been provided.
    • Any use of artificial intelligence tools has been transparently disclosed.
    • The authors agree to comply with the journal’s editorial, peer-review, copyright and publication policies

By submitting a manuscript, the author confirms that:
